SHI (or 死, Japanese term for “death”) was born from the idea of making an illustrative and narrative series. Big fan of comics and manga, the idea came to Mik Muhlen to create a kind of modern cyberpunk “death”, a ramen fan, who would have swapped his scythe for a katana. This first silkscreen print serves as an introduction to his universe; a world a bit futuristic, but haunted by traditional Japanese spirits and creatures. The silkscreen was deliberately made in 3 colours, to preserve the very contrasting aesthetics of the comic strip.
