Love, Power and Youths at the Casino-Luxembourg

Love Is the Institution of Revolution is the first monographic exhibition by Mikhail Karikis in Central Europe. It was initiated at the behest of the Casino Luxembourg and jointly organised with the Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art, UK.

Mikhail Karikis uses images and movements, as well as sounds and performances to fuel his artistic approach. His artistic voice is both a modelling material and a political figure. His works of art capture the energy generated within collectivist dynamics and aim at resonating with the population’s economic, cultural, psychological and moral conditions. He regularly works with communities to create video performances depicting alternative lifestyles.
