Jet Lag in art – 4th Triennale Jeune Création – Opening: June 29

The Triennale aims at becoming a must go event for young and up-and-coming contemporary artists in Luxembourg and the Greater Region. The Triennale is the ideal platform for new artists and encourages intellectual encounters within the national and international artistic scene.

Jet lag refers to a physiological condition which results from alterations to the body’s circadian rhythms resulting from rapid long-distance trans-meridian (east–west or west–east) travel on high-speed aircraft. This neologism appeared in the 20th Century. The theme of the Triennale’s 4th edition also refers to exhaustion caused by the profound change in our society as well as stress and increasing expectations in a more and more connected global world.

120 projects were submitted, but only 25 artists were selected, with 3 of them featured on Art Work Circle:  Chantal Maquet, Anna Maria Krieps and Sandra Lieners.

The 25 selected artists are:
Guillaume Barborini, Stefania Becheanu, Vincent Bernard, Boulc’h & Lucie Schosseler, Marc Buchy, Cyril Faucher, Aline Forçain, Alice Haddad, Paul Heintz, Reza Kianpour, Anna Maria Krieps, Rémy Laporte, Sandra Lieners, Lucie Majerus, Laura Mannelli, Chantal Maquet, Isabelle Mattern, Marianne Mispelaëre, Eric Schumacher, Marina Smorodinova, Marie-Luce Theis, Nina Tomàs, Marianne Villière, Daniel Wagener, Nora Wagner.
