How can you view the Armand Strainchamps Exhibition (again)?
On Saturday 18th July 2020, the opening night of the Luxembourgish painter Armand Strainchamps took place.
During this event, we had the privilege of welcoming the jazz singer Edith van den Heuvel and her guitarist Paulo Simoes who interpreted some well known titles of their jazz repertoire.
In between two musical sessions, the painter Armand Strainchamps gave an interview to Lene Pedersen of Art Work Circle, followed by a presentation of each of the art works on display in the pop-up gallery. This gave us the opportunity to learn more about the artist’s techniques and sources of inspiration used to create his works of art, as well as the stories behind each of them. This is how the artist shared with us the surprising anecdote behind the creation of his painting entitled “Le mari de Sophie” (Sophie’s husband).
Moreover, as the event was recorded and streamed live via Facebook Live, we invite you to watch (again) the video in which you can discover the anecdote in question and much more!
This semi-virtual opening night was also – of course – the occasion to introduce the Armand Strainchamps exhibition, presented both online on the AWC website in an immersive 3D gallery and partially physically in a pop-up gallery located at the MindForest Lounge. A total of 40 works of art is thus presented online, including 15 in the pop-up gallery. If you are interested in discovering the exhibition at the MindForest Lounge (Luxembourg-City), we invite you to contact us by email at email@example.com to set up an appointment for an exclusive visit. The exhibition can be seen until the end of September.
