The Cultural Center of Encounter abbey of Neumunster will host the exhibition of the artist Álvaro Marzán, “Space and Desire” from April 7 to May 25, 2022.
The exhibition Space and Desire was originally planned to be presented last summer but the floods in the Grund district interrupted this project. Fortunately, the exhibition will see the light of day and has even been revisited and updated by the artist. Through his creations, Alvaro Marzan questions the need of individuals to understand their own nature.
“Space and Desire is a pictorial installation dealing with the abstract and metaphysical space in which we are immersed as human beings. It presents this space as a creative material ready to be shaped by our perception, actions and intention.” – Álvaro Marzán

“I use painting as a vehicle of emotionality. I use it as a tool to express the forces of the unconscious, to build scenes, figures or objects that refer to an immaterial world of symbolic situations” Álvaro Marzán
